Eid is everybody’s favorite part of the year. One of the blessings of Eid is that it strengthens the ties of kindship and brings the whole community together, through praying together, enjoying some delicious food together, and another common aspect is giving gifts, or Eidi, to family and friends.
Eidi is defined as a gift usually given to children by older relatives or family friends as part of the two Muslim holidays: Eid al Fitr and Eid Al Adha. Money is the most common form given as Eidi to youngsters.
